To my dear creative friends:

These last few weeks with the Covid-19 Pandemic has been hard on all creative entrepreneurs.   Many of my friends have lost jobs, some have shut down their small business.  And then others are searching for ways to cope with the new reality that we are faced with.

Drew and I have had our own disappointments.  We had an entire year of 2020 planned to do a cross-country tour of our Posca Paint Parties, and half the tour has been cancelled.  We had to PIVOT and create a new plan – and fast. And we did – we took our Posca paint parties online. (Some of you have joined us in those parties!)

The great thing about being a CREATIVE person is this:  we can PIVOT on a DIME. What that means is this: we can easily create new ways to do things.

Some have trouble pivoting during a crisis, because our minds are so scared and scattered we can’t seem to tap into our brilliant ideas.

But I have a practice that has always helped Drew and I come up with new creative ideas.  It’s through a daily writing practice.

Writing for 10-15 minutes a day has always helped me to figure things out, find peace and get clarity on what I want to create in my life.  When I’m not sure what to do next, I grab a pen and paper and start writing.

Eventually, answers flow.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN START YOUR OWN DAILY WRITING PRACTICE:

  1. Get a pen and a notebook.
  2. Carve out 15 minutes each morning (or evening, if that’s your time to wind down)
  3. Clear your mind, clear your space.
  4. Sit down and “dump” whatever is on your mind on the paper.  Don’t stop writing for 10-15 minutes.

It’s amazing how this writing practice helps you to drop anxiety, get greater clarity and find inner peace.

And when you are in a state of inner peace, that’s when you are capable of coming up with brilliant ideas that will help you navigate your business and life during crazy times like now.

Go ahead and try it, and let me know in the comments how it works for you!

Many friends have asked me to help them start their own writing practice, because they want accountability and community.

So, I’ve decided to take it online, in a LIVE 14 day workshop.

DAILY WRITING PRACTICE – 15 Minutes to Joy is a 14 day LIVESTREAM course I put together.

If you are feeling alone and are wanting to try something new to help you create your life as you wish, this writing practice can help.

The LIVE meetings via Zoom begin on Saturday, April 4th. (SIGN UP HERE)

I kept it simple, so that it will only take 15 minutes of your daybut that’s all you need to release fears, reduce anxiety and get CONTROL of your life (even when we can’t control other things, we can control ourselves).

I kept the price low enough so it’s easy for you to join yet high enough $ for me to afford to pay my tech support person to run it.

If you have any questions about the course, ask in the comments. Would love to hear from you.

Stay happy and safe, my friends.
